Job Overview

University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographer to join our diverse team based at Worthing Hospital. As a radiographer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent imaging services.

Main Duties

You will be mentored through a comprehensive induction programme, where you will learn to use DR equipment and be taught CT head imaging. You will also be expected to work cross-site between Worthing and Southlands sites, with occasional cross-site working to Chichester. Free hospital transport will be provided between base sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and justify examinations according to IR(ME)R 2017 regulations
  • Evaluate the quality of images and undertake further projections as necessary
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve a common goal
  • Communicate effectively with consultants and other clinical staff on sensitive clinical matters
  • Provide high levels of patient care and welfare while under the care of the Trust

Requirements

  • Appropriate professional qualification recognised by the College of Radiographers or pending
  • Registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) or pending
  • Relevant and current knowledge gained through NHS experience in a broad range of Radiographic practice
  • Some on-call / lone working experience dealing with trauma imaging
