AIG is seeking a highly experienced Cyber Underwriter to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our UK Cyber and Tech PI portfolios. As a Senior Specialist Cyber Underwriter, you will play a critical role in developing strategies to drive profitable growth, working closely with the UK Head of Cyber & Tech PI and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to build profitable growth in the UK Cyber and Tech PI portfolios.
  • Act as a referral point for complex accounts and provide expert advice to underwriters.
  • Work with supporting areas to control and measure facilities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Support and drive Broker Management initiatives to enhance relationships with brokers and clients.
  • Deliver timely product changes and upgrades to keep pace with market needs and trends.
  • Drive research and development to ensure products launched meet market needs and company appetite.
  • Contribute to product innovation, evolving coverage and services offered to meet customer needs.
  • Work with marketing and communications to produce materials updating clients and brokers on underwriting appetite, risk trends, and new products and services.
  • Collaborate with other lines and regional heads to replicate best practices and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop a thought leadership framework for internal and external use, anchored in claims activity and emerging trends.
  • Oversee compliance and progress of underwriting training, coordinating underwriting authorities.
  • Provide oversight and tracking of quarterly peer reviews for UK Cyber.
  • Coordinate Underwriting Rules with the UK Head of Cyber and Cyber Global Product Team.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Cyber Underwriting, Broking, or Claims.
  • Knowledge of PI is beneficial.
  • A good understanding of the Cyber and Tech business model, underwriting methodology, and the risks assumed.
  • High-level business acumen, problem-solving skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  • Program Management and Governance experience.
  • Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and multiple distribution systems.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent presentation, prioritization, communication, and time management skills.
