Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Spinal Service team in Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical care and expertise to patients, working autonomously and as part of a team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Main Duties
  1. Provide advanced clinical care and expertise to patients, including assessment, examination, investigation, and diagnosis.
  2. Work autonomously as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, managing a caseload of patients and clinical priorities according to agreed protocols and working practices.
  3. Deliver individualized patient care, with direct responsibility for assessment, examination, investigation/diagnostic procedures, and diagnosis of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
  4. Appropriately treat patients, resulting in the safe management and appropriate onward referral or discharge of patients at the end of the care episode.
  5. Receive and triage referrals via a variety of sources.
  6. Participate in patient reviews, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
  7. Utilize scope of advanced practice to undertake Non-Medical Prescribing role and advise on medicine management issues associated with the patient group, working within Trust policy for Medicines Management.

Essential

  1. Professional Registration
  2. Non-Medical prescribing course (in eligible professions)
  3. MSc in clinical practice

Desirable

  1. Teaching or relevant experience qualification

  1. Advanced clinical practice skills
  2. Evidence of research and audit
  3. Evidence of implementing change
  4. Evidence of dissemination of knowledge in wider healthcare organisations

Experience

  1. Post registration experience at a senior level (band 6 or above) in community or a relevant speciality area
  2. Evidence of on-going CPD
  3. Evidence of teaching in a variety of environments
  4. Ability to work independently.
  5. Experience of using multidisciplinary approach to patient care
