We are a family-run holiday let business located on a beautiful heritage farm in Scunthorpe. Our guests travel from all over to experience our unique countryside setting and enjoy a range of activities, including spa sessions, archery lessons, and wine tastings.

Job Title: Duty Manager

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our front office and coordinating the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the front office operation, including guest check-in and check-out, and ensure all customer enquiries are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
  • Coordinate the delivery of guest services, including spa sessions, archery lessons, and wine tastings.
  • Assist with operational and administrative tasks, including managing rotas, stock, and other elements to ensure the successful stays of our guests.
  • Lead the team and help with operational needs, ensuring that all customer enquiries and requests for bookings are dealt with promptly, courteously, and efficiently.
  • Work closely with the business owners to achieve the best possible experience for our guests and increase revenue streams for the business.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a hotel or B&B management role.
  • Experience using hotel reservation software or similar is a necessity.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, operational experience, high computer literacy skills, and an eye for detail are required.
  • Availability to work on Fridays and Sundays, as well as school holidays and half-term periods.

  • A competitive hourly rate of £14/hour upon successful probation and £15/hour upon exceptional performance over 6 months.
  • A 30-hour rota, with the option to increase to 40 hours if preferred.
