An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker at North Somerset Childrens Centres.
About the role:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to supervise building services and maintain a safe and hygienic environment at Ashcombe Childrens Centre in Weston Super Mare.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervise building services to meet defined standards and qualities.
- Undertake designated cleaning and/or maintenance duties.
- Manage stock and assist with risk assessments.
- Contribute to the management of security and wellbeing at the Centre.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Previous cleaning experience is desirable.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Training in COSHH and other safety training must be undertaken during initial period of employment.
- Basic ICT skills.
- Flexibility to work out of normal working hours.
- Good communication skills.
Working for North Somerset Council:
This is a permanent position for 20 hours per week. You may be required to travel to other Children Centres in Weston at times to complete essential maintenance.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills and the ability to work flexibly.
