Housing Options Specialist

We Manage Jobs(WMJobs) is seeking a dedicated Housing Options Specialist to join our award-winning team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and households.
As a Housing Options Specialist, you will work closely with applicants who are homeless or threatened with homelessness, assessing their housing and support needs. You will collaborate with partner agencies to find innovative solutions that address complex issues and prevent homelessness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a deep understanding of homelessness legislation and policy. If you are passionate about breaking down barriers and making a positive impact, we encourage you to apply.
Salary: £28,000 - £31,000 per annum
About the Role:
- Housing Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of applicants' housing and support needs, identifying potential solutions and referring them to relevant services.
- Collaboration with Partners: Work closely with partner agencies, including local authorities, charities, and other organizations, to develop effective strategies for preventing homelessness.
- Personalized Support Plans: Collaborate with applicants to create tailored support plans that meet their unique needs and circumstances.
- Statutory Decision Making: Make informed decisions regarding homelessness applications, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work or a related field
- Proven experience in homelessness prevention or support services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
