About the Role:

As a Technical Project Manager at ConvaTec, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and tracking of key, complex operations projects. You will ensure that projects adhere to agreed-upon deliverables, timelines, and budgets. Your expertise in technical project management will be leveraged to evaluate solutions and provide recommendations.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed work plans for assigned projects, identifying and sequencing activities needed for successful completion.
  • Determine resources required to complete projects and resolve resource conflicts.
  • Develop schedules for project completion, allocating resources effectively.
  • Review project schedules with senior management and project team members, revising schedules as needed.
  • Determine project objectives and measures for evaluation at completion.
  • Develop forms and records to document project activities.
  • Set up files to ensure project information is properly documented and secured.
  • Ensure teams comply with ConvaTec's Quality Systems.
  • Monitor project progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure successful completion.
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders on project progress.
  • Review the quality of work completed with the project team to ensure it meets project standards.
  • Write reports on the project for management.
  • Ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
  • Evaluate project outcomes as established during the planning phase.

About You:
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, database software, SAP, and MS Outlook.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry, preferably medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience working in diverse cultures.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication capabilities at all levels within the organization.
  • Understanding of ethical behavior and business practices.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.
  • Ability to assess situations, determine importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions that are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
  • Ability to set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.
  • Ability to assess problem situations, identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.

Qualifications:
  • Certification in Project Management from a recognized certified body.
  • A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (or higher) is desirable.
  • Experience delivering New Product Introductions within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • BS or BA. Master or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience in project management in the medical device industry (or similar) with knowledge and experience in operations, manufacturing, supply chain, or research & development is essential.

Travel Requirements:
This role involves traveling 25% to 50% of the time to other company facilities, mainly in Slovakia, to oversee opportunities and ensure that projects are delivered on time.
