Project Manager Opportunity at OCU Group

OCU Group, a leading utility engineering contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the NorthWest. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing construction schedules and budgets, dealing with unexpected costs, and acting as the main point of contact for clients and site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with estimating teams on tenders for clients and commercial bids to bring in new business.
  • Developing and presenting project proposals.
  • Meeting with clients to find their requirements.
  • Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales.
  • Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients.
  • Managing construction schedules and budgets.
  • Dealing with any unexpected costs.
  • Attending site meetings to monitor progress.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients and site on project.
  • Working with third parties to ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards.
  • Liaising with technical and financial staff, subcontractors, legal teams, and the clients own representatives.
  • Overseeing final accounts at the end of a project.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 / FIDIC contracts desirable.
  • An understanding of the construction industry.
  • An understanding of legal documentation.
  • IT knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • The ability to use your initiative.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Working within the Water Industry.
  • Driving License: Essential.
