SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism) Role in Canterbury

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a great SEN School in Canterbury. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism and other special educational needs.

About the Role

This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves providing one-to-one support to students with Autism, as well as assisting the classroom teacher with lesson planning and delivery. You will work closely with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Autism, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Assist the classroom teacher with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring that students with Autism receive the support they need.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans, working closely with the teaching team and other professionals.
  • Support students with Autism in developing their communication, social, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and address the needs of students with Autism, ensuring that they receive the support they need to succeed.
