Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Canterbury, Kent. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, providing one-to-one and small group support, and assisting teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN, both in the classroom and during specialist intervention sessions.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs of SEN students.
  • Implement strategies to support students with a range of needs, including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
  • Monitor and record the progress of SEN students, and communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's development.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills.
  • An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
