Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team in Wakefield.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position that involves managing credit control duties and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.

  • Daily Responsibilities
  • Manage invoice finance figures, update the headroom control sheet, process and distribute invoices, chase debts via phone or email, respond to customer queries, post remittances, raise credit notes, distribute daily dispatch reports, monitor daily bank transactions, and update relevant files.
  • Weekly Tasks
  • Complete sales reconciliations and invoice finance bank reconciliations, reconcile bank transactions, prepare debtor's reports, maintain credit control notes, send customer statements, perform credit checks, monitor customer balances, and assist with purchase ledger input.
  • Monthly Reporting
  • Review NCR logs, raise invoice charges, complete monthly invoice finance reconciliations, and generate reports for submission.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills and experience in credit control or a finance-related role. Knowledge of Microsoft NAV is desirable but not essential.

Estimated Salary Range

£22,000 - £27,000 per year
