Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Mechanical Engineer Apprentice to join our team at Reader Cement Products Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in maintaining our plant, machinery, and equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver or young professional looking to start their career in mechanical engineering. You will have the chance to develop your skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and a City and Guilds NVQ course on a day release basis.

About the Role
  • Maintain plant, machinery, and equipment through reactive and planned maintenance.
  • Work closely with operators and management to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.
  • Complete daily records, including timesheets and inspection status documentation, accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, be a team player, and have a willingness to learn and develop.
