GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join one of its client schools in London. The successful candidate will provide essential support to students with their learning, ensuring they receive the best possible educational experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers in the classroom by providing support to individual students or small groups.
  • Academic Support: Help students with their academic tasks, including reading, writing, and mathematics.
  • Special Educational Needs: Support students with special educational needs and adapt resources to meet their needs.
  • Behavioral Support: Promote positive behavior and social interactions among students.
  • Lesson Planning: Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons and activities.
  • Progress Monitoring: Provide feedback to teachers about students' progress and any concerns.
  • Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Patience and Empathy: Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Child Development: Basic understanding of child development and learning strategies.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Special Educational Needs Experience: Experience working with children with special educational needs.
