Nurse Specialist for GI Physiology

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Specialist to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the field of Gastrointestinal Physiology, developing new pathways and clinics to improve patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in GI Nursing, with experience in undertaking clinical assessments, physiological testing, and biofeedback/bowel management. They will also be able to undertake 3 one-stop clinics per week and 1 follow-up clinic, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent patient care.

This role offers a competitive salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including flexible working options, hybrid working arrangements, and opportunities for professional development.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of new patient pathways and clinics, working closely with consultants, enhanced and advanced nurses, physiologists, psychologists, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff. You will also be responsible for communicating effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of principles of Clinical Governance, risk management, audit, and quality improvement. You will also need to be willing to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, embracing service improvement initiatives and contributing to the delivery of top-quality patient care.
