Warehouse Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Warehouse Manager to join our team at fish4.co - Jobboard. This is a temporary to permanent position, offering a supervisor who wants their next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Streamline warehouse processes, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods to improve overall efficiency and accuracy.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels, timely stock takes, and reducing shrinkage.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and mentor the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Logistical Oversight: Optimize inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with suppliers and transport teams to ensure timely and cost-efficient deliveries.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are strictly adhered to and that the warehouse operates in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvement and implement new procedures and technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports on warehouse performance, including key metrics like order accuracy, inventory turnover, and shipping/delivery performance.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to improve communication and streamline the supply chain process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory control systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
