Senior Restoration Ecologist

Salary: $125,000 - $175,000 per year
About the OpportunityWe are seeking a highly experienced Principal-level restoration ecologist to lead our Environmental Restoration Practice in the Northeast and Great Lakes regions. As a driving force behind the growth of Anchor QEA, you will be responsible for developing new clients, winning and executing habitat and ecological restoration projects, and expanding our experience with federal, state, and local clients.
The successful candidate will have had previous experience building a habitat and ecological restoration practice in collaboration with others and will be a driving force behind growing Anchor QEA's restoration practice in the Northeast and Great Lakes Region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading or providing strategic direction for comprehensive scope development, negotiations, project schedule and deliverable milestones development, technical and financial project management activities, client and stakeholder coordination, project implementation, and subcontractor administration.
- Providing mentorship, technical oversight and quality reviews on restoration projects.
- Identifying strategic teaming partners and actively building relationships, helping to identify and support staff resource and hiring needs.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will split time equally between project execution and business development. Key areas of focus include:
- Project Execution
- Leading or providing strategic direction for comprehensive scope development, negotiations, project schedule and deliverable milestones development, technical and financial project management activities, client and stakeholder coordination, project implementation, and subcontractor administration.
- Providing mentorship, technical oversight and quality reviews on restoration projects.
- Identifying strategic teaming partners and actively building relationships, helping to identify and support staff resource and hiring needs.
- Business Development
- Help expand our existing habitat and ecological restoration practice that is well known and respected by clients and looked to for project completion and strategic advice.
- Positioning for and winning multi-disciplinary projects and/or programs with a focus on sustainable habitat and ecological restoration solutions, water quality and climate resilience, either as part of a larger team or as the prime contractor.
- Developing new clients, identify project opportunities, lead proposal efforts, and capture new work.
