As a senior ecologist at Arun Ecology, you will be integral to the technical delivery of our services.

**The requirements**
- Located in the South East of England (remote/ hybrid working possible);
- Have minimum of four years professional experience working in ecological consultancy or a similar role;
- A degree in ecology or related field;
- Have in-depth knowledge of ecological consultancy, legislation and planning policy as well as survey design;
- Good UK botany field identification skills. This is to include a minimum of FISC level 4 certification and experience undertaking UK Habitat Classification Surveys;
- Experience in writing and reviewing Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and completing Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments using the statutory metrics;
- Registered to use at least two Natural England protected species licences, ideally including a level 2 class licence to survey bats;
- Demonstrable project management experience;
- A valid (clean) driving licence and vehicle, insured for business use;
- Willingness to work away from home.

Desirable
- Have experience of protected species mitigation design;
- Have experience in line management or have held similar responsibilities;
- Capable of using ArcGIS, QGIS or AutoCad software;
- Specialist surveying and identification skills;
- Full CIEEM Membership (or working towards it).

Pay: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 40 per week
