Job Title: Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Cameron Clarke Associates.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Mechanic to work with a family-run business with years of experience and skills.

As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and equipment.

This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency with both hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment
  • Conduct safety inspections and maintenance inspections on light commercial vehicles
  • General servicing work on cars and light commercial vehicles
  • Tyre fitting
  • General vehicle repairs including gear boxes, clutches, brakes etc
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
  • Occasionally attend roadside and customer premises for breakdowns and onsite servicing
  • Using diagnostic equipment to problem solve
  • Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role - up to 4 years' experience in service & repair of vehicles preferred
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full 'clean' UK driving licence
  • NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology (Level 3) or a City & Guilds Level 3 equivalent
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
  • Must have own tools and a constructive attitude and good timekeeping
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and customers
  • Have a passion for keeping up to date with the latest automotive technologies
  • Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team
