Automotive Technician

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Talent Finder. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- General servicing work on cars and light commercial vehicles
- Tyre fitting
- Safety inspections and maintenance inspections on light commercial vehicles
- General vehicle repairs including gear boxes, clutches, brakes etc
- Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs
- Occasionally attending roadside and customer premises for breakdowns and onsite servicing
- Using diagnostic equipment to problem solve
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects
- Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role - up to 4 years' experience in service & repair of vehicles preferred
- Eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full 'clean' UK driving licence
- NVQ in Motor Vehicle Technology (Level 3) or a City & Guilds Level 3 equivalent
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Must have own tools and a constructive attitude and good timekeeping
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and customers
- Have a passion for keeping up to date with the latest automotive technologies
- Be able to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team
