Job Overview

Comanos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Grid Connections Manager to lead their grid intel and connection processes. This role requires exceptional leadership and technical expertise to manage and resolve complex engineering challenges and secure grid capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the project pipeline through effective communication with Distribution and Transmission Operators and System Operators.
  • Source and secure information for grid capacity suitable for PV, Wind, and BESS projects.
  • Communicate with DNOs and NGESO on budgets, pre-app meetings, and upcoming developments.
  • Complete ENA's G99 and G98 application forms.
  • Analyze technical drawings on technical design, layout, site optimization, and other site considerations.
  • Support due diligence for potential project acquisitions.
  • Support ICP and EPC procurement processes.

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering degree (a master's in Power Systems is a plus).
  • Excellent knowledge of REMA (Grid reforms).
  • Previous experience in a technical grid connection role related to electricity projects.
  • Experience working on renewable energy projects (ideally solar, wind, and BESS).
  • Knowledge of Grid Code/ENA G99 and G98.
  • Great communication skills and ability to liaise with stakeholders, network operators, and grid specialist consultants.
