We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Maternity Support Worker to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing clinical stock, maintaining equipment, and ensuring infection control compliance in our community midwifery settings.
Main Responsibilities- Clinical Stock Management: Liaise with KFM and NHS Supply Chain to ensure timely delivery of clinical stock to our main hub.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment log and database, and communicate with midwives to ensure regular servicing and maintenance of equipment in MEMS.
- Infection Control: Perform monthly audits to ensure Infection Control compliance at our main hubs.
- Logistics Support: Liaise with Team Leaders, Midwives, Support staff, and Community Manager for logistic support.
- Facilities Management: Ensure regular maintenance of our main hubs by liaising with the maintenance team and following up on jobs that need to be completed in a timely manner.
- Able to speak and write concisely and legibly in English.
- Demonstrate organizational skills.
- Copes well with stress in themselves and others.
- Experience of working within a maternity unit or with community midwives.
- Experience of working within a healthcare setting.
