Buckinghamshire Council is an outstanding special school providing a specialist education for 163 students with moderate learning difficulties and associated needs. We are seeking a Food Education Professional to join our dedicated team of educators.

The successful candidate will teach students with particular responsibility for general education, pastoral care, and welfare. They will promote a wide range of teaching and learning styles to enable students of all abilities to be appropriately challenged.

Responsibilities:

  • To coordinate and monitor the implementation of the Food Technology subject area.
  • Act as a role model for colleagues and provide high-quality teaching.
  • Contribute to the whole school cycles of assessment, recording, and reporting.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess Qualified Teacher Status and specialist subject knowledge in Home Economics or Food Technology. Previous experience as a teacher is essential, and you should be able to teach a secondary subject in English, Maths, Science, History, Geography, Design and Technology, or Art and Design.

The salary for this position is estimated at £38,760-£52,418 per annum, depending on experience, plus a SEN Allowance of £2,679.
