Housing Compliance Manager
Are you passionate about ensuring that housing standards are met in your community? We have two exciting opportunities for you to join our team as a Housing Compliance Manager.
About the Role
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with experience in housing enforcement and regulation. As a Housing Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of officers to ensure that housing standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line manage Housing Standards Officers to ensure efficient delivery of services;
- Effectively manage case work, prioritizing workload and service requests;
- Supervise officers, providing support where needed;
- Liaise with other departments to resolve issues related to housing defects and licensing;
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures for housing enforcement activities;
- Work closely with the team to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
Requirements:
- Degree level qualification in a relevant subject (e.g., law, social sciences);
- Experience in inspection and enforcement for housing standards;
- Familiarity with formal procedures such as PACE and RIPA;
- Working knowledge of housing legislation and current best practice;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Able to write concise reports and provide effective support to the team.

We offer a competitive salary range of £35,790 - £43,543 per annum, depending on experience. This appointment will be made subject to a satisfactory enhanced criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service.
