About the Role


We are seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Senior Residential Architect to join our thriving studio in West Sussex. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in leading the design and delivery of various residential and mixed-use projects.



Project Responsibilities



  • You will lead multiple projects simultaneously, ranging from smaller infill schemes to larger urban extension projects.
  • Working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, you will ensure that projects are suitably resourced and minimising abortive work.
  • You will have the autonomy to provide clients with quick turnaround on feasibility work, showcasing your expertise and initiative.
  • As part of a collaborative team, you will contribute to creating innovative and sustainable designs that enhance the lives of users.


Requirements and Qualifications



  • You should have substantial experience in running large projects from inception to achieving planning consent.
  • A strong understanding of residential layout design, particularly in housing-led schemes.
  • The ability to effectively lead project teams under timescale pressures.
  • Experience in preparing fee quotes and confidently approaching existing and prospective clients for work-winning opportunities.
  • An excellent communication skillset, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of planning and Building Regulation requirements.
