About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Cheshire, working in a payroll bureau and consultancy environment. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong mathematics skills and the ability to carry out manual payroll calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide end-to-end support to payroll service delivery across multiple clients
  • Manage payroll queries from clients and escalate where necessary
  • Collate data and prepare payroll imports and changes
  • Review payroll data, including manual checks, and prepare to sign off reports
  • Obtain sign-off from clients for audit purposes
  • Prepare and upload third-party reports
  • Conduct compliance checks across the payroll
  • Support annual payroll tasks, including year-end processing, P11D submissions, and PSA reporting
Requirements
  • Strong mathematics skills and ability to carry out manual payroll calculations
  • Ability to run manual payroll calculations, including tax, NIC, student loans, and pension deductions
  • Ability to process payroll from end to end, including year-end procedures
  • Ability to use Excel, including use of formulas, v-look-ups, and pivot tables
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
