Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at KION Group. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in delivering resident site contracts to our clients while upholding the key values of our business.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out AMHE equipment servicing in accordance with quality standards and time schedules as set out in the equipment manuals.
  2. Undertake scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry standard practices.
  3. Diagnose Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / PLC / PC faults and subsequent repairs.
  4. Prioritise system faults.
  5. Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
  6. Ensure quality of output at all times.
  7. Accurately record all work undertaken.
  8. Involve in continuous improvement and sales opportunities.
  9. Maintain product flow at all times.
  10. Ensure on-site spares are kept to optimum levels.
  11. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and maintain customer relations.
  12. Adhere to the Quality processes and procedures as set out by the company.

Requirements

  1. ONC or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (electrical preferred).
  2. Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship (preferred).
  3. Working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
  4. Basic understanding of control systems and techniques.
  5. Basic understanding of PLC equipment.
  6. Working at height up to 22m.
  7. Previous experience of working with various conveyor systems.
  8. PC literacy.
  9. Understanding of pre-preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules.

Technical Competencies

  1. Ability to learn and retain technical information.
  2. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
  3. Have a logical approach to fault finding and resolution.
  4. Operate within a designed structure of pre-planned maintenance.
