Job Overview

At Arm, we're seeking a highly skilled Principal Design Methodology Engineer to join our Systems Development team. As a key member of our Front End CAD team, you'll be responsible for developing, standardizing, and maintaining our internal engineering flows that enable system design activities within the team.

Responsibilities:

You'll work closely with our Engineering Directors and Technical Leads to build and agree a common set of requirements, resulting in a roadmap of design-related flow development. Your focus will be on developing flows that include lint, cdc/rdc, sdc, and advancements in machine-readable specifications to aid automation of best practice within SE, enabling our design community to achieve the best results.

You'll collect and analyze design metrics and work with tools from multiple EDA vendors. Your expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, and PHP, as well as version control systems like SVN, Git, and Gerrit, will be essential in driving the development of our engineering flows.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EDA flows used for SoC hardware development.
  • Strong skills in scripting languages and version control systems.
  • Knowledge of machine-readable specifications, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
"Nice to Have" Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS).
  • Knowledge of functional safety standards, including ISO 26262.
  • Experience working on global IP and SoC development projects.
