Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Specialist to join our Wiltshire CAMHS In Reach team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist consultation and support to foster carers and adopters, as well as professionals working with them.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality specialist therapy services to carers of looked-after and adopted children supported by Children's Social Care and Adoption West.
  • Offer consultation and support to team members across Children's Social Care and Adoption West who deliver assessments, care, and interventions.
  • Develop and deliver training to staff in Children's Social Care.
  • Attend strategy and multi-agency meetings for young people identified as open to the Wiltshire In-Reach team to contribute to multi-agency planning and response.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures.
  • Utilize research skills for audit and contribute to research and training within the areas served by the teams and service.
  • Be involved in the development of this service as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Registered RMN, OT, Social Worker, or Psychological Therapist.
  • Experience of working with young people who are known to Children's Social Care and present with complex needs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of Safeguarding Children legislation and guidance.
  • Experience of teaching, facilitating, and formal training course planning/management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex situations.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialized therapies with CYP presenting with complex clinical presentations.
  • Experience of working with the Mental Health Act and robust knowledge of the Children's Act.
