Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work in SEND schools in and around Preston. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support students in their learning and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure a cohesive support system.
  • Help manage behavior and provide emotional support to students as needed.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant in SEND settings.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different SEND schools in Merseyside.
  • Willingness to participate in morning calls for same-day assignments.
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
