Product Safety and Reliability Engineer

Thales is seeking a Product Safety and Reliability Engineer to join our team in Glasgow, UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating safety risks associated with our products, as well as providing reliability analysis and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate reliability artefacts, such as Availability, Reliability & Maintainability Plans, and Reliability Block Diagrams, to support product safety and supportability engineering.
  • Support reliability analysis for new products and highlight areas of concern that require reliability growth.
  • Act as a point of contact for reliability queries and facilitate appropriate hazard/risk identification.
  • Develop product safety and reliability requirements and support Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Peer review product safety-related and reliability artefacts generated by others in the team.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Product and System Safety and/or Reliability Engineering is highly desirable.
  • Ability to build positive and effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members and customers.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to share knowledge, develop others, and learn.
