The Rapid Asset Deployment (RAD) organization is expanding globally to enhance our responsiveness to customers worldwide. OpsTech Solutions manages all IT infrastructure and end-user equipment deployed across the Amazon network globally, providing end-to-end solutions that include lifecycle management, change control, capital/demand planning, material management, Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), and liquidation.

This position involves designing factory layouts, workstations, material flow, and diagnosing processes to identify improvement opportunities. You'll prescribe strategies and guide the improvement effort to drive operational excellence and reduce costs.

This role requires travel as necessary, up to 20%. To excel in this position, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

  • You will utilize lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement tools to drive operational excellence and reduce costs.
  • Conduct time and motion studies, workflow analysis, line balancing, capacity analysis, and process mapping to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Utilize CAD-based software for reviewing material handling equipment, building layout, and material flow.
  • Have experience with ERP implementation and assist in validating system and process designs.
  • Oversee and manage process improvement projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, IT, and supply chain, to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness.
Salary Estimate:

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $125,000, depending on location and experience. This estimate is based on industry standards and takes into account factors such as cost of living, education level, and required skills.

Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or manufacturing engineering
  2. Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or technology
  3. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement principles & techniques
  4. Proficient in six sigma methodologies, and process improvement tools
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  6. Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as process mapping, data analysis, and project management software
  7. Experience with Oracle ERP software and manufacturing execution systems
  8. Experience in complex work environments, including but not limited to robotics, automation, diagnostic and test equipment
