About the Role

Estimated Salary: £38,000 - £48,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our supportive Pharmacy Team as a Senior Pharmacy Technician - Procurement. The role involves playing a critical part in delivering an efficient and comprehensive procurement service to the Trust.

You will oversee the purchasing of pharmaceuticals, ensuring a reliable and compliant supply chain, and provide training and support to new staff members. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating restocking, and investigating any stock discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospital pharmacy procurement and distribution, with excellent organizational and communication skills. They will be able to work in an organized and calm fashion in a busy environment, with a forward-thinking approach to developing new ideas.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining effective procurement processes.
  • Providing training and support to new staff members.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory levels and coordinating restocking.
  • Investigating any stock discrepancies and maintaining regulatory documentation.
  • Supporting the distribution team when required.
