The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our growing team. As a key member of our Inbound New Business or Renewals & Servicing Team, you will be responsible for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and develop your skills in commercial insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with clients and insurers, conducting high-quality work in areas such as new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, claims, queries, premium finance arrangements, and issuing cover notes.
  2. Ensure full FCA regulation and company procedures are followed, as detailed in the Conduct Policies and Guides to Best Practice.
  3. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients, providing expert product advice and guidance.
  4. Actively secure renewal business by re-broking existing business to ensure clients are presented with the most suitable and cost-effective cover.
  5. Promote and increase the use of in-house premium finance from insurer schemes.
Requirements
  1. Previous experience in an Account Handler role within a broker environment.
  2. Working knowledge of commercial insurance products.
  3. Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance.
  4. I.T. skills, including use of an insurance IT system, ideally Acturis.
  5. Strong organisation skills.
  6. Ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  7. Exemplary customer service skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers.
  8. Regulatory and compliance awareness.
  9. Willingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualifications.
