The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our growing team. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for generating revenue and developing the profitability of our business while ensuring full FCA compliance in all aspects of SME insurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism when dealing with clients and insurers.
  • Conduct high-quality work in relation to new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments, claims, queries, premium finance arrangements, and issuing cover notes.
  • Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients and provide expert product advice and guidance.
  • Actively secure renewal business by re-broking existing business to ensure clients are presented with the most suitable and cost-effective cover.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an Account Handler role within a broker environment.
  • Working knowledge of most commercial insurance products.
  • Experience of working to high standards of FCA compliance.
  • I.T. skills including use of an insurance IT system, ideally Acturis.
  • Strong organisation skills.
  • The ability to work to a high level of accuracy.
  • Exemplary customer service skills with the ability to build solid relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Regulatory and compliance awareness.
  • Willingness to work towards Cert CII or already hold qualifications.
