About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Getting Help Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care and interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems
  • Assess and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools
  • Support professionals in various settings to identify and manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing
  • Develop and provide training and workshops for professionals, parents, and carers, and children and young people
  • Actively promote a whole-system approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and wellbeing within and across services
Requirements
  • Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Diploma qualification as a Children Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP)
  • British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited or the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) accredited CWP training course or preparing to submit for accreditation
  • Confidence in assessing for and delivering high-quality, outcome-focused, evidence-based low-intensity interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties
  • Ability to work in a multi-agency setting, working collaboratively with colleagues in Early Help, Social Care, schools, and across the wider system
