About the Role:

As a Project Engineering Manager at Britvic, you will be responsible for developing and managing portfolios of capital projects to meet the strategic objectives of the company. Your goal will be to maximize value by driving operational excellence, increasing resilience, and improving efficiencies while minimizing the impact of our supply chain on the planet through efficient solutions and new technology.

You will support the Head of Project Engineering and the GB Supply Chain in building the services and utilities plant development masterplans for our sites. You will also play a key part in our annual capex review process, identifying, estimating, and developing projects.

You will program manage the design, delivery, and commissioning of portfolios of engineering projects across the GB sites, ensuring they are delivered on time, in budget, and to relevant standards. You will manage Project Engineers and Engineering Contractors to aid in the delivery of the portfolio.

For each project in your portfolio, you will ensure a robust technical design and implementation plan. You will identify project workstreams, lead technical specification development, and support the tendering process, supplier selection, project planning, supplier/contractor management, and daily project execution activities. You will forecast capital spend accurately and follow change management processes as necessary.

You will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and partnerships, leveraging your strong relationship building skills and strong knowledge of project management processes.

  • Development, management, and delivery of a portfolio of engineering projects, on schedule and within budget.
  • Management of projects in accordance with internal project procedures, GMP, and relevant regulations including CDM, and ISO22000, 45001, and 9001.
  • Management of equipment specifications, scope of work documents, and drawings.
  • Management and coordination of engineering contractors.
  • Selection, partnership, and management of OEMs for the projects.
  • Embracing the Britvic Early Equipment Management, EEM, process.
  • Leadership, coaching, and development of graduates into the project engineering team.
  • Identify and action opportunities for improvements to processes to promote a continuous improvement culture within the engineering project team.
