Accounting and Tax Expertise

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting and Tax professional to join our team at ProTalent. As an Accounting Technician/Chartered Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting our clients with their accounting and tax compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in practice work for personal tax and business clients, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tax returns and accounts.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional service delivery and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Prepare and review various accounts and tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide VAT advice and ensure compliance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Maintain high technical and professional standards, staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Coach, train, and develop junior staff, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Opportunity to enhance skills in Xero and other Cloud-based systems, staying ahead of the curve in terms of technology and innovation.
  • Undertake wider practice activities as necessary, contributing to the growth and success of our clients.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and clients, providing clear and concise advice and guidance.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues, building trust and credibility through your expertise and service delivery.
Requirements
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong understanding of accounting and tax principles.
  • Experience in accounts preparation within an accountancy practice, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Problem-solving skills and an investigative nature, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.

Working Hours: Full-time (38.75 hours per week)

Location: Eastbourne & Brighton positions available
