Are you a skilled accounting professional looking to join a well-established practice? Do you have a background in practice and are AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Technician/Accountant to join our team at Reset Recruitment Ltd.

You will enjoy working in a busy and professional environment, assisting on client accounting and tax compliance tasks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients to deliver a high-quality service
  • Preparing and reviewing sole trader accounts, company accounts, personal tax returns, and corporation tax returns
  • Providing VAT advice and compliance services
  • Maintaining a high level of technical and professional standard through ongoing training and CPD programmes
  • Undertaking wider practice activities as needed
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Assisting in coaching and training junior staff members
  • Developing skills in cloud-based systems
  • Assisting a range of personal and business clients

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Great communication and organisation skills
  • AAT or ACA/ACCA qualification
  • Experience in the preparation of accounts within an accountancy practice
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and manage your own workload to meet strict deadlines
  • Great IT skills, including Excel and accountancy software such as XERO and QuickBooks
  • Great attention to detail and a natural problem solver
