Job Description:

As a KS3 SEND Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of students with SEND
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as required
  • Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in meetings and professional development activities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEND in a school setting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEND education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Desirable Skills:

  • Strong understanding of different learning needs and strategies to support students with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily during school hours, with some additional time required for planning and meetings
  • Regular interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and external agencies
  • Potential for involvement in extracurricular activities and school events
