We are seeking a skilled Employment Support Specialist to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at Durham County Council.

The successful candidate will engage effectively with a range of people from the public, private and voluntary sectors to form and develop strategic partnership activity.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to use and grow your experience and skills in supporting and advocating for the wider cultural sector in County Durham.

A pivotal role that will provide professional and strategic support to drive forward the county's cultural partnerships' aims.

  • A relevant degree or substantial experience in culture, partnership development or project management is required.
  • Evidence of continuous personal and professional development is essential.
  • Travel is an essential part of this role.

Key Benefits

As an Employment Support Specialist at Durham County Council, you can expect:

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
  • 27 days holiday per year rising to 32 days after five years continuous local government service.

Working Arrangements

Durham County Council operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
