Senior Applied Clinical / Forensic / Counselling Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Applied Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join the Walsall CRHTT. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will work in the least restrictive way to support service users presenting with acute mental health needs.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be part of a larger group of urgent care Psychologists who work across CRHTT, in-patients, mental health liaison services, and PICU. You will exercise your leadership skills in psychological assessments, formulation, care planning, and brief psychological interventions.

Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in applied Psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the BPS
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice
  • Trained in clinical supervision and the supervision of doctoral trainees
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Working as a qualified applied psychologist within a Mental Health service including a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course and a range of clinical severity across a range of care settings
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice relevant to the role of working with people's complex mental health difficulties
