About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applied Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our Walsall Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing psychological assessments, formulation, care planning, and brief psychological interventions to individuals experiencing acute mental health needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and develop tailored care plans to support individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide brief psychological interventions and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Exercise leadership skills in psychological assessments, formulation, and care planning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of psychology-led initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and support junior staff members in their professional development.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology (or equivalent) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
  • Postdoctoral training in one or more specialized areas of psychological practice.
  • HCPC registration as an Applied Psychologist with Chartered Status.
  • Experience working as a qualified applied psychologist in a mental health service, including a wide range of client groups and clinical settings.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice relevant to the role of working with people's complex mental health difficulties.
