Locomotive Fitter Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Locomotive Fitter to join our team at FDR. As a Locomotive Fitter, you will play a vital role in providing a 24/7/365 solution for the repair, overhaul, servicing, and modifications of a fleet of commercial freight locomotives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on locomotives
- Overhaul and service locomotive components
- Modify locomotives to meet customer requirements
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals
Requirements:
- Experience in the rail industry or a related field
- Strong technical skills and knowledge of locomotive systems
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Good communication and teamwork skills
