An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Railway Maintenance Engineer to join our key Engineering/Rail clients based in the UK on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will cover the Doncaster area, benefiting from our training offering to aid their career development.

As a Railway Maintenance Engineer, the role will include various tasks such as:

  1. Carrying out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, and fault-finding activities as necessary.
  2. Acting as lead engineer for contracts, projects, or tasks as necessary to support operational performance or customer demand as identified by the line manager.
  3. Leading the progression of specific technical engineering issues as directed by the line manager, providing guidance to other engineers as necessary.
  4. Participating in the Engineering Services On-Call Roster, providing technical assistance over the phone or in the field as required.
  5. Data input to locomotive history tracking system completed in a timely manner.
  6. Working a 37-hour week, Monday to Friday.

Our client is looking for candidates who hold an NVQ/City & Guilds level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering and have class 66 locomotive experience or come from an ex-forces or plant mechanic's background.
