Low Carbon Fuels Expert

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a highly experienced Low Carbon Fuels Expert to join our Sustainable Energy Solutions team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in low carbon fuels and chemicals, with at least 8 years of experience in managing complex projects and leading high-caliber teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement consulting market strategies, including thought leadership on the evolution of low carbon fuels and chemicals.
  • Manage projects on all aspects of low carbon fuels and chemicals, including supply chain technology and economics, business models, industry supply chains and status, investor support including due diligence, sustainability, and policy support.
  • Oversee the work of other consultants, setting tasks, supporting research and analysis, coaching junior staff, and reviewing and quality-assuring outputs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and develop excellent client relationships.
  • Drive business development activities, identifying opportunities with clients and leading proposal development in collaboration with ERM's Partners.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant subject, ideally at Master's level or above.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in low carbon fuels and chemicals.
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with technical ability.
  • Ability to motivate and lead teams and potentially line manage individuals; experience in line management of less experienced staff is advantageous.
  • Drive, initiative, and ability to work independently.
  • Clear written and spoken communication for a range of audiences, including the ability to summarise complex information succinctly.
  • Fluent English, other languages welcome.

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
