About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to join our IT team as a Multimedia Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting multimedia services, including video conferencing, presentation equipment, and other audio-visual requirements.


Key responsibilities include:



  • SUPPORTING MULTIMEDIA SERVICES FOR ODI STAFF AND VISITORS, INCLUDING VIDEO CONFERENCING, PRESENTATION EQUIPMENT, AND OTHER AUDIO-VISUAL REQUIREMENTS.
  • LIVESTREAMING EVENTS TO THE INTERNET, INVOLVING LIAISING WITH EXTERNAL RESEARCHERS AND PRACTITIONERS UNFAMILIAR WITH THIS TECHNOLOGY.
  • SETTING UP AND TRUBLESHOOTING AV EQUIPMENT FOR EVENTS, MEETINGS, AND TRAINING SESSIONS.
  • MULTIMEDIA EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, INCLUDING ROUTINE CHECKS, CLEANING, AND CALIBRATION OF AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT.
  • PROVIDING TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR MULTIMEDIA PROJECTS, INCLUDING VIDEORGRAPHY, PHOTOGRAPHY, AND EDITING SOFTWARE.
  • BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF CURRENT NETWORK PROTOCOLS, OPERATING SYSTEMS, SOFTWARE, AND STANDARDS IS REQUIRED.
  • Familiarity with web-streaming technology and experience with mixing desk is desirable.

About you


The ideal candidate should have excellent technical knowledge of multimedia hardware and software, experience in troubleshooting multimedia issues, and good interpersonal skills to provide exemplary service to ODI staff and visitors.


The salary for this position is estimated to be around £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
