We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Civil Engineering Business Unit and contribute to the delivery of high-profile renewable energy projects. The role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and personal development.

You will report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the commercial team to achieve project goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactive management of application and credit control processes
  • Optimization of income through efficient cost management and financial planning
  • Development and implementation of costing and forecasting processes to ensure accurate project budgeting
  • Effective implementation of change control systems to minimize project delays
  • Contribution to project risk management and dispute resolution to protect company interests
  • Management of CTC and CVR procedures for seamless project execution
  • Coordination of the sub-contract cycle for successful project completion
  • Expert commercial advice to the project team for maximum profitability and value creation
  • Fostering team spirit and trust among project commercial team members, clients, and subcontractors
  • Effective dispute resolution and communication with the project team and commercial team
  • Development of training plans and contribution to the tendering process
  • Mentoring an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for enhanced skills
  • Occasional work from home and travel to multiple renewable energy projects in Scotland

About the Opportunity

  • Experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a degree or HND/HNC equivalent
  • Working towards Professional Qualification
  • Strong knowledge of construction industry conditions of contract
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent coaching and training abilities
