About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Geriatrician to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Geriatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in Geriatric Medicine, working closely with other consultants and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and guidelines, ensuring that they are evidence-based and aligned with best practice.
  • Participate in the education and training of junior doctors and other healthcare professionals, sharing your expertise and knowledge to ensure that they are equipped to provide high-quality care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of research projects, working closely with other researchers and clinicians to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with other departments and services to ensure that patients receive seamless care, from admission to discharge.

Requirements

  • Full registration with the GMC and a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Experience of working in a busy teaching hospital, with a strong track record of providing high-quality care and contributing to the development of clinical policies and guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.
