Geriatrician Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Geriatrician Consultant to join our team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, particularly those with complex and frailty-related conditions.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in Geriatric Medicine, with a passion for delivering innovative and patient-centered care. You will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development of our department's services, including the Surgical Liaison Service (PROKARE) and the Frailty Assessment Unit (FAU).
As a Geriatrician Consultant, you will be expected to contribute to the General Unselected Medical Take, weekend Frailty and Gerontology support, as well as the out-of-hours Gerontology telephone on-call rota. You will also be involved in outpatient activity, supporting the inpatient activity through targeted follow-up and contributing to the admission avoidance rapid access 'HOT' clinics provided by the department's Consultant Connect service.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to contribute to the teaching and training of junior staff, as well as participating in departmental efficiency and research initiatives.
