Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to join our team in Barrow, Cumbria. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals with learning disabilities and mental health support needs.
About the RoleAs a Care Assistant, you will be enabling someone to live a fulfilling and independent life at home and out in the community. Your duties will include assisting with day-to-day living duties such as budgeting, shopping and supporting with medication and any personal care that may be required.
The salary for this role is £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working hours and opportunities for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enable service users to become as independent as possible and to grow in confidence, competence and personal effectiveness.
- Work flexibly including evenings and weekends, according to the needs of the service.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning and personal care.
Requirements:
- You must be a creative and positive individual who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives.
- You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
- You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
